We are looking for families, in the area of Helsinki (Finland) or Catania (Italy), willing to partecipate to the trials of the european project BeAware, concerning the monitoring of energy consumption in dwellings. Energy consumption data will be acquired, processed and displayed using appropriate devices, which will be supplied to the participants for the duration of the trial. The energy consumption related to the home and to specific electrical devices will be accessible, only to the participants and in protected mode, via web pages or third-generation mobile.

The first international “Workshop on transport emergencies” will take place in Rome, Italy on March 3rd, 2010. The workshop, organized within the EC funded project SAVE ME, is hosted by the Italian Ministry of Interior, National Fire Corps at the Istituto Superiore Antincendi.

During the conference, significant experiences from Italy and other European Countries will be presented and discussed aiming at promoting the use of innovative technologies for improving passengers safety in transport infrastructures.

IES Solutions deals with the project SAVE ME as partner of the Consortium.

The ViewFinder project was successfully completed on 19th January 2010. The final demonstrations and review were held at SyFire training centre.

Today, 19 November 2009, a meeting-debate day has been held at Lamezia Terme, on the topic: “Campagna AIB 2009: consuntivo e proposte per le future edizioni” organized by the Comando Provinciale dei Vigili del Fuoco. Dr. Massimo Cristaldi has taken part in the event.
During the meeting, the results of the recent AIB campaign have been presented, with particular attention to the innovative results achieved by the introduction of the figures of DOS and the use of the software application “Cap Generator”.

The presentation and national launch of the call “Spazio” 2010 will be held in Rome on October 5, 2009.
The event is organized by APRE (Agenzia per la Promozione della Ricerca Europea) together with the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche and the Agenzia Spaziale Italiana.
Uberto Delprato, IES Solutions CEO, will participate as an expert evaluator in the area “Spazio”.

The main objective of Spazio is to support the Politica Spaziale Europea following two main activities:

1) The development of the GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security) initiative with benefits for citizens and institutions
2) Support in R&D to thematics such as space science, exploration, space transportation and space technologies, in synergy with initiatives developed within ESA, at national or regional level.

REACH112, a three-year project partially funded by the European Commission under the ICT PSP CIP programme, will introduce in five european countries (France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain and the UK) improved communication solutions for disabled people, allowing them direct access to emergency services.
The project is coordinated by IES Solutions and gathers 22 partners from all over Europe.

The development of Cap Generator and Cap Viewer used by emergency services in Calabria is in progress. Our development team is taking into account requests from the involved emergency organizations, and proceeding in the consolidation and optimization of the available functionalities.
